ESWI Press Workshop

Why is influenza a dangerous disease? How is seasonal influenza different from pandemic influenza? How does an influenza vaccine work? And an antiviral drug? What are the upcoming influenza threats? And are we prepared to cope with them?

Scientists and journalists have a common goal: to raise the public’s awareness about the dangers of influenza by providing accurate information on the disease and its threats. To assist journalists with their task of communicating scientific risk, the ESWI scientists have now compiled the latest scientific data in five tailor-made workshop lectures. If you are interested in learning the ins and outs of influenza and its potential impact on public health, you are kindly invited to ESWI’s influenza workshop on 27 May 2011. Attendance is free of charge.
